The interpretation of your astrology chart begins on the
following page.

You will find that the interpretation of your chart is
written in simple language, uncluttered by astrological jargon.
If a statement appears to contradict another statement, then you
exhibit these opposite qualities at different times in your
life. For example, a statement that you are highly sociable and
gregarious and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly
contradict each other; this means that you vacillate, and need
both sociability and solitude at different times.

The astrological factor that the interpretation is based on
is also given. The astrological factor is given for the benefit
of astrologers and students of astrology. If you are not a
student of astrology, then obviously the factor will not be
meaningful to you, and you can ignore it.

If you find this interpretation of your birth chart
interesting and informative, you might want to discuss your
birth chart with a professional astrologer to learn more about
the astrological influences on your life.

Your birth chart interpretation is based on the positions of
the planets at the time of your birth. For the benefit of
students of astrology, these positions, along with other
technical information, are listed below:

Section 1: General Characteristics

Your fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards
life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each
person has their own unique balance of these four basic
energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth
(practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and
intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and
feelings).

Your "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that
most people are "unbalanced" or lopsided, and if you are lacking
or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means
that you need to consciously develop that aspect of yourself to
learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that dimension of
life.

Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are least endowed
with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we
neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be
reiterated and explained in more detail in the following
chapters.

You value order and security in your life and prefer dealing
with known quantities, following clearly defined guidelines in
order to achieve your aims. Reason rather than emotion rules
you, and you think in clear, practical, no-nonsense terms. You
are uncomfortable with ambiguity, emotional impulsiveness or
extremism, and things which cannot be explained in rational
terms. Even spiritual or mystical realms, if you have any
interest in such things at all, must have either some scientific
basis or be proven to you through your own experience and
practice.

You think a situation through thoroughly before deciding
upon a course of action, assessing and analyzing the matter
carefully, and can be relied upon to come to a fair, reasonable,
and sensible solution to whatever confronts you.

You are able to handle practical matters very efficiently,
using both deductive reasoning ability and manual skill.
However, it is easy for you to become overly "adult" and to lose
touch with the spontaneous, playful, vibrant, and childlike side
of yourself. You can become too organized and controlled, not
allowing your emotions or creative, playful impulses full
expression, and a certain dryness or emptiness will result. You
need to learn to appreciate a certain degree of "creative
chaos"!

You are likely to be overly humble or unsure of yourself and
to look to others for inspiration, motivation, reinforcement,
and approval. Tending to be somewhat passive, you must learn how
to take initiative and motivate yourself.

A lack of warmth (either physically, emotionally, or both)
may be evident in you, which can show itself physically as a low
energy level, paleness and lack of color in the skin, or a
tendency to be easily chilled, and emotionally as a marked
coolness or aloofness with little spiritedness, joyfulness, or
enthusiasm for living. Eating warming, spicy foods, living in a
warm, sunny place, and using fire in your daily life (lighting
candles, using a wood stove or fireplace for heat) can help
balance you. Also, spending time with warm, cheerful,
positive-minded people and developing a philosophy based on
spiritual optimism can stir up your own zest of life.

Positively, you are unlikely to be egocentric and have a
capacity for great patience and peacefulness.

You are a complex person, however. The description in the
next chapter on how you meet life and come across to others
contradicts some of the statements made above, for you do
possess a highly intuitive, instinctive, and not completely
rational way of perceiving life. However you do not make
important decisions based solely on an emotional basis because,
as described above, you are a very practical person. You can be
enormously sympathetic to others' plights and still make an
impartial, rational judgment regarding them.

Section 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others

The following is a description of your basic stance towards
life, the way others see you, the way you come across, the face
you show to the world. In Chapter 3 you will read about the "The
Inner You: Your Real Motivation", which describes the kind of
person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read
this chapter and the next one and compare them - there may be
significant differences between them, in which case "the inner
you" may not shine through and others are in for some surprises
when they get to know you at a more than superficial level. This
chapter describes the costume you wear, your role in life, while
Chapter 3 talks about the real person inside the costume.

You are very strong-willed and proud, but intensely private
and not easy to know well. Behind your quiet exterior lies a
great deal of emotional depth, sensitivity, complexity, and also
fierce determination. When you want something you go after it
rather quietly but insistently and wholeheartedly - and you
usually get it.

You are not a person who lives lightly or superficially.
You want to live passionately and intensely and are not averse
to challenge, danger, or to facing the darker side of life -
human pain and struggle. You function well in crisis situations
and often seek them out, for you enjoy the feeling of living at
full capacity.

You are very intuitive about other people and especially
about their unspoken feelings and hidden motives. You usually
have strong, immediate gut reactions, either positive or
negative, which prove to be correct. You approach life very
instinctively and are not always fully conscious of why you feel
or act as you do. You also have a very strong affinity with
animals - an acute sensitivity and a nonverbal kind of rapport
with them.

In relation to others, you are rather cautious, sometimes
even suspicious, until you get to know and trust them - and
trust doesn't come easily to you. When you commit yourself
emotionally to someone, be it friend or lover, you are intensely
loyal and devoted to them and you also expect the same kind of
unwavering, undying loyalty in return. If you are ever betrayed
by someone you care deeply for, you are capable of hating and
retaliating with as much fervor as you once loved. Nothing is
done halfway. In fact, you are intensely involved and often
jealously attached to whatever you care about, be it person,
idea, or cause. There is definitely a streak of emotional
fanaticism in you.

Because of your natural reserve, others may see you as
something of an enigma. You are quite self-protective and often
defensive. You are also very magnetic, especially to members of
the opposite sex.

You appear to have a very honorable and generous attitude
toward others, as if you have their best interests at heart.
Because to others you seem tolerant, understanding, or even
wise, they may also turn to you for counsel.

You may seem to others to be very gentle, malleable, and
easily taken in. As a result, people can take advantage of you,
especially through your pity or sympathy. If you seem to be
continually disappointed by or deceived by others, try to see
how your own naivete may be contributing to these situations.

Your emotional instincts, feelings, and intuition play a
big part in the decisions you make and how you interact with the
world, and generally your feelings are quite accurate and
helpful to you. Also, establishing emotional rapport with the
people you meet on a day to day level is rather easy for you.
You appear somewhat sympathetic and concerned, so that others
are drawn to you, especially when they need guidance or help.

You appear to be unusual, highly independent, and a free
spirit. There is a touch of brilliance, of the creative genius,
in your manner. You are also restless and easily distracted,
tending to fly from one thing to another, which may give the
impression that you are unreliable.

You are somewhat erratic and constantly looking for
something new. You change your opinions frequently and others
never know what you will do. Because you are easily excitable
and unpredictable, others may find it taxing to spend time with
you.

You have a tendency to live in a world of your own, a world
that is likely to be far from reality. You want to make a big
impression, and with your dazzling personality you know how to
put on a brilliant show.

You tend to be extremely hard on yourself and others. You
may have been brought up under difficult circumstances and now
feel that life is very tough. You do your duty, expect the same
from others, and have no pity for anyone.

Section 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation

Although you are intensely emotional and fervent in your
loves and hates (as described in the previous chapter), very
often you are cool, detached, objective, and dispassionate. Your
emotions are difficult to arouse, but once aroused you are
intensely emotional, feeling love, hate, or jealousy with your
heart and soul. Also, your innate idealism (discussed below) may
prevent you from acting as temperamentally as you might feel.

You have strong views and can be zealous in defending your
ideas.

    You are a freedom-loving, strong-willed, and
independent-minded individual, and you insist upon living your
own life as you see fit, even if that means ignoring convention
and tradition. In personal relationships you cannot be owned or
possessed, and while you are willing to share yourself with
another, you do not always adjust easily to the emotional give
and take of a close relationship. Though intellectually open,
you can be enormously stubborn, opinionated, and inflexible on a
one-to-one level. You have strong convictions and feelings about
fairness and equality, and you try to live by your ideals, but
your ideals about how people SHOULD treat one another don't
always take into account human weaknesses, differences, and
needs. You probably dislike sentimentality and traditional
gender roles and "games".

You are fair, intelligent, objective, rational and often let
your head rule rather than your heart. You seem rather
self-sufficient and detached emotionally because you are capable
of putting aside your personal feelings and viewing things
dispassionately. But once you make up your mind on an issue, you
are difficult to sway and can be rather dogmatic.

You think in broad terms and are concerned with the world
beyond your own personal sphere - your town, nation, or even
planet. You are likely to become involved in community affairs,
social organizations, and groups of all kinds, or to have a keen
interest in such. You enjoy being part of a group endeavor and
often find yourself organizing, managing, or supervising group
activities.

Forward-looking and progressive, you harbor great hopes for
the future. You stay current and up to date, and respond to
contemporary cultural trends, both in terms of personal style
and in terms of ideas. When young you were very influenced by
your peers and by group pressures and by all the "latest
crazes". You have an experimental mind and are attracted by the
novel.

Your strong points include your concern for human welfare
and social betterment, your sense of fairness and democratic
spirit, and your vision. Your faults are your stubbornness and
inflexibility, and a tendency to be very obtuse and insensitive
when it comes to personal feelings and human needs.

You are a private person and inclined to withdraw in very
public and impersonal social settings. You prefer to work at
home or in a very personal small business.

You invest a lot of your creative energy into your home,
your family, and your inner life.

You are loving and well-loved by others, and have a strong
need for kindness, friendship, and affection. Your artistic and
creative powers are also well developed and you do everything in
a harmonious, gracious, pleasing manner. Aesthetics are very
important to you. Your personal appearance and attractiveness
are also very important to you.

However, while you prefer harmony and accord, you also have
a confrontational side.

You are positive, vital, energetic, active, a go-getter.
You enjoy competition, and your initiative and self-confidence
make you a winner.

You are intensely willful, zealous, and fanatical, though
often you hide the intensity of your feelings and your personal
motives and desires. You have an infatuation with power and an
almost compulsive desire for personal recognition, the desire to
be Somebody. You tend to worship Heroes who have powerful
personal magnetism and charisma, and often seek to emulate them.
You also have both a fear of, and an intense fascination with,
death and the hidden, secret, dark side of life.

You have a sense of good fellowship and comradeship and are
very much at ease in contact with others. You work successfully
with others in your community, groups or associations and may
get some assistance from some very powerful and influential
people.

Section 4: Mental Interests and Abilities

You are more of a poet than a rational scientist, for your
mind does not function in a strictly logical, linear fashion.
The language of music, art, or poetry is natural to you, and you
are also able to think in highly abstract and symbolic terms.
Translating your thoughts and impressions into concrete,
everyday language may be difficult for you at times and
consequently you may appear less intelligent or at least less
quick-witted and verbal than others. This was especially true of
you as a child, and you probably daydreamed a good deal also.
You are intuitive and are able to sense what others' thoughts
and feelings are, even before they say anything to you. You
often form an opinion about a person or situation without much
factual knowledge of them, and your impressions are usually
correct. You can be somewhat absent-minded and you become so
immersed in your own thoughts that you overlook things in your
immediate, tangible environment. You are extremely open-minded
and believe that anything is possible. Intangible or spiritual
forces seem just as real to you as anything in the concrete
world. Your imagination and your sympathetic understanding of
other people are two of your greatest gifts.

You have an introspective turn of mind and may enjoy
keeping a journal or a record of your dreams and personal
experiences, or learning about psychology, history, and the
inner workings and emotional foundations of your own life. You
are studious and something of a bookworm.

You have a great capacity for concentration, handling
details, and learning about subjects others might find
ponderous, too technical, or dry. You could easily become a
teacher of some specialized skill or field of knowledge.
Practical applications and techniques are your forte. In speech
you tend to be factual and to the point.

Section 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance

Serious and responsible, you try to carry the world on your
shoulders and rarely let others know that you need help and
support. You deny or ignore your own emotional needs and feel
that others will not accept you if you appear "weak". You are
especially uncomfortable with emotional dependency, and will
tell yourself and others (even children) not to be a "baby". You
need to accept that no one is self-sufficient all the time, and
to be gentler with your "childish" emotional needs and wants. To
others, you may appear to be rather hard-nosed and tough, with a
businesslike attitude toward their personal concerns and
feelings. Actually, no one is a truer friend. Your feelings and
loyalties run deep, but you often do not let people know how
much you care. You also need to learn to relax, enjoy yourself,
and play sometimes.

You are likely to be a great collector of things - a real
pack rat in fact - for your belongings give you a sense of
security and continuity with the past, which is important to
you. Antiques or things with sentimental value from your past
are especially dear to you.

You may also cling rather tightly to both money and
possessions, keeping them "in the family" rather than sharing
freely with those outside of your immediate circle.

You are easygoing, agreeable, and tolerant, willing to
overlook others' mistakes, forget the past, and begin again on a
positive note. You enjoy making others comfortable and happy,
and sometimes overdo your generosity. You often feel that
"everything will turn out all right no matter what I do", and so
become lazy and lackadaisical.

You are uninhibited and spontaneous and will often do
something unexpected or humorous in order to loosen people up
and get them out of their ruts. You crave emotional stimulation,
excitement, surprises, and anything new. You love to feel free
and unfettered.

The beauty and harmony of your surroundings has a very
powerful effect on your emotions. You are very sensitive and
cannot stand to be in an atmosphere where there is discord or
dissonance. Gentle, kindhearted, and peace-loving, you will give
or sacrifice much in order to avoid a fight and to "make
everyone happy".

You are very compassionate and love to share your feelings
with others. You are always in search for new contacts and enjoy
working together with others in meetings, clubs or
associations.

You have a strong desire for genuine understanding with
others and find it easy to share your feelings with them. Your
feelings toward others are very loving and you are likely to
have a lot in common with many of your friends.

You are very impressionable and extremely sensitive to your
surroundings. You may be especially sensitive to noise as well
as bright lights and sunshine. You also may want to learn about
the deeper dimensions of life, the occult or mystical things.

You are open and unconventional in your attitude towards
love, romance, and sex. You enjoy socializing, bringing people
together, and having many friends of both sexes. You value
friendship very highly and are, in fact, more comfortable being
a friend than a lover. You desire an intellectual rapport or
spiritual bond with your love partner, but deep intimacy and
emotional bonding do not come easily to you. The role of
"husband" or "wife" in the traditional sense doesn't appeal to
you, and you abhor jealousy and possessiveness since you feel
that no person truly "belongs" to another. You appreciate a love
partner who will allow you plenty of freedom and is not very
emotionally demanding.

Beautiful, elegant, and harmonious surroundings are very
important to you, and you have an innate sense of style, design,
and form. Socially, also, good form and politeness are important
to you and you instinctively avoid crudeness and dissonance.

You enjoy talking about love, relationships, art and the
beautiful side of life. You appreciate artistic people.

You are warmly romantic and openly express your appreciation
and love of the opposite sex, though rarely in a crude or
insensitive manner. You enjoy playing matchmaker and bringing
people together romantically. Fulfillment and harmony in love is
likely for you because you know what you want and need in a
romantic sense and express those desires honestly.

You experience powerful, compelling emotional and sexual
attractions, and you may feel that you have little choice or
control over your desires. You have an intense need for love and
may be emotionally greedy or insatiable. Your love life is
passionate and often tumultuous and painful as well. Jealousy,
power struggles, or possessiveness can become areas of conflict
in your relationships. Positively, you can be unusually creative
and bring about beneficial and healing changes in the lives of
others, motivated by your deeply felt love.

You tend to be a bit envious and are inclined to begrudge
other people. Quite suspicious, you may misconceive the
relationships or associations of others, and become dissatisfied
yourself. You also could be subject to improper liaisons.

Section 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals

You are a "busy bee" - energetic, restless, and forever on
the go. Your active mind is always buzzing with ideas and you
find it difficult sometimes to relax, slow down, or take time to
reflect and replenish yourself. You tend to live on nervous
energy. You can accomplish much in short bursts but projects
that require long-term commitment, stamina, and steady,
persistent effort are not easy for you. You often scatter your
energies into so many directions and activities at once that you
cannot finish or follow through on some of them. You need
variety, change, and mental challenges.

You have a sharp and eager mind, and you enjoy games and
competitions that have a mental component. You like to match
wits with someone else.

You often achieve your desires by your verbal skill, your
ability to speak clearly, vigorously, and convincingly for what
you want. Your drive and energy is more mental than physical.
You use your wit, intelligence, communication skills, social
sophistication, and awareness to achieve your goals.

You meet numerous challenges and possibly defeats in
pursuit of your goals and desires, and your setbacks often occur
because you've been too rash or intent on working your own will
regardless of the impact on others. You are intense and
passionate, and simply don't know when to stop sometimes!
Recklessness with others can be a problem for you.

Your ambitions and long-range goals in life are apt to be
personal, subjective, and related to inner development or inner
satisfaction. Others' recognition or accomplishing something
great in material or public terms is quite secondary to you.

A great deal of your energy, attention, and fulfillment may
be related to home, family, or fulfilling your heritage in some
manner.

Your desire for a beautiful home, a comfortable, pleasing
lifestyle, and time to relax and enjoy yourself may well be the
motivation for going out into the world and trying to achieve
outward success. You may seesaw at times between your
professional drives and desire for status, and the appeal of a
rich personal life and home comforts.

In some ways you may feel that you have little choice about
your role in society. You're compelled either by unusual outer
circumstances or by an inner drive, to bring things which may be
dark, difficult, or taboo, into public awareness. You delve into
the hidden side of life, things which may have been purposefully
concealed or repressed, and bring these things to light. You
could come into direct conflict with the authorities or
powers-that-be as a result. You're apt to have extraordinary
ambitions, and could become overly zealous and fanatical also.

Your profession could involve physical strength and
prowess, such as athletics, fire fighting, law enforcement, or
the military. You would never be happy in a quiet, sit-down job.
Vigorous competition and strenuous work are undoubtedly key
components of both what you do and how you achieve your
long-range goals.

You have a beautiful soul, are aesthetically inclined and
have a love of fine arts. You may want to be involved in a
career where art, acting, or beauty are paramount. Your parents
are supportive and you are likely to have a harmonious home and
business life.

You are very adaptable, and because of your tactful,
obliging and cordial manner, others like being around you. You
love to be involved with associations or societies in the
pursuit of common interests.

You strive to be at one with others, but somehow are not
able to synchronize your feelings or viewpoints with them.
Feeling disappointed, you may prefer a life in seclusion and
away from other people.

Section 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy

Material comfort, security, and well-being are quite
important to you, and you are not one to have your head in the
clouds when financial matters and future security are at stake.
Your strengths are practicality, a love of the earth, and the
ability to take great delight in the sensual pleasures of the
natural world. Also, when you feel secure financially, you are
likely to be very generous and hospitable.

You are a very sociable person, and you need to reach out
and communicate with many different people. You are interested
in what others can teach you and are drawn to those with more
knowledge or breadth of experience than yourself. You expect a
high level of integrity and sincerity from others and you do not
tolerate pettiness or hypocrisy in your close friends or
marriage partner.

You also need freedom and want a partner who will support
your need to keep learning and growing, who will not limit you
or set too many boundaries. Your marriage is likely to be very
satisfying and rich.

You have an unusually expansive, far-reaching outlook on
life. At times the everyday routine is far too dull and boring
to you, and you are inclined to travel, daydream, fantasize, or
philosophize on a grand scale.

You have a knack for bringing new ideas and plans into
fruition with less difficulty than others. Your positive,
enthusiastic attitude attracts helpful situations and
opportunities to you.

You are extremely modest and prefer a plain and simple life.
You have a great tolerance of others and a tendency to sacrifice
yourself for them. But you also could become carried away by
some religious, metaphysical or social ideas.

Section 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You

You either overvalue or undervalue your possessions and
assets. You can also go to extremes in dealing with bodily needs
and desires, being either hedonistic or ascetic. You may deny
yourself sensual pleasure and enjoyment of the fruits of your
labors. You may also be stingy and unable to give freely. Many
times you feel that you do not have "enough" to make you feel
secure, regardless of how much (money, insurance, etc.) you
have!

You take both your work and your health very seriously, but
you may demand so much of yourself at work that you compromise
your health. You can become a workaholic, not so much because
you have lofty ambitions, but because you never feel like you've
done enough. You are overly responsible or overly conscientious
at work, so much so that you may not enjoy it at all.

You can also get overly involved in self-improvement or
your health, and you tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac.

You take your ideals and dreams very seriously, and you go
through periods of fervent dedication to a lofty ideal or
vision. You have the ability to gain some real depth in
spiritual or imaginative areas, but you also can become so
involved in your imaginative, idealistic pursuits that you lose
perspective and develop feelings of alienation and isolation
from others.

Your emotional life is likely to be somewhat strained and
you have a tendency toward pessimism. You may not feel as close
to your loved ones as you would like to be, and it could be
difficult for you to give and receive love.

Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which you
instinctively and habitually revert to when under stress - a
mostly unconscious process and one which you are apt to overdo
because it is so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction
you need to follow in order to develop balance, greater
awareness, and wholeness is also described.

It is easy for you to become distracted from your purpose by
the multitude of interesting choices, possibilities, and options
available to you. You need to develop single mindedness and
focus. Until you direct your attention to some of the big
questions, such as "What is my life's purpose?" "What is really
important to me and essential to my happiness?", you are apt to
dabble, to scatter your energies in many directions engaging in
activities which are entertaining but which are ultimately not
fruitful or nourishing.

Having an overall vision for your life and aligning your
daily activities so that they support rather than detract from
your larger purpose, is a significant step in your unfoldment.
The arena you are most likely to wrestle with these issues
is in your immediate, direct encounters with others. There is a
dynamic balance (or conflict) within you between acting
spontaneously and being true to yourself versus modifying
yourself or your behavior to suit others. You seesaw between
being inordinately concerned with self to being overly
conciliatory and concerned with others' needs, rights, or
opinions about you. Learning to act authentically and
forthrightly regardless of possible consequences is your task.

Your feelings are heightened when you are with others and
you have the ability to open up to them and show your feeling
without reservation. Lead by your instincts, you are likely to
have many spontaneous contacts with other people.

Your relations with others could be rather unstable and
unreliable. With a somewhat negative attitude and weak will, you
avoid opposition and escape your responsibilities. In
association with others, you are likely to choose people who are
asocial.

Section 9: Originality and Imagination Areas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive

You are likely to have a career that is highly unusual or
that somehow challenges the mainstream of society and the status
quo. Being an instrument for progressive change in the world is
your role, whether in a humble or grand manner. You need to
shake things up wherever you are. You also may change careers,
life direction, and your long range goals many times in your
life.

You have a sensitive physique and may have allergic
responses and sensitivities to foods, medicines, or anything you
take in from the environment. Emotional stress and confusion
seem to affect you physically, even more quickly than they
affect other people.

Emotional intensity, compulsive attraction, and a sense of
fate or destiny characterize your one-to-one relationships. It's
as if you simply cannot have light, superficial relationships;
they are inevitably profound, intense experiences which reveal
your depths to you. You may be drawn to powerful, charismatic,
willful people that challenge, thwart, and ultimately evoke your
own power and strengths. Your marriage is likely to be the arena
for your greatest growth.

You are optimistic, confident and enterprising and are able
to enchant others with constant new ideas. You have a
progressive attitude and enjoy anything new and different.
Opening up to others easily, you may surprise them with
occasional outbursts of gaiety.

You are able to organize activities well and seek active
cooperation with others. Some of your meetings could occur
suddenly, or you may unexpectedly start to work on a project
with others. At times you also could have joint upsets or
anxieties.

You tend to be a bit pessimistic and may feel sort of
helpless about your circumstances. This could be the result of
having your goals not planned very realistically. But at the
same time you are inclined to begrudge other people their good
fortune.

You have the ability to realize extra-ordinary or unusual
plans, but are not above a bit of subterfuge or manipulation to
get your way. Even if no one follows, you go your own way, never
looking back and rarely compromising.

You have a strong desire to take control of everything
around you and to rule over others in your environment. Beware
of using other people for your personal gain which could have
serious consequences later on.

Section 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group

In this chapter we will discuss characteristics and traits
of your generation. Of course, you may not share all of the
characteristics of your generation, but you are greatly affected
by the tone that is set by your generation.

The first topic is "The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of
Your Age Group". In this section we will describe a deeply felt
urge, even compulsion, of your age group. This deeply felt drive
comes to the surface with great force and power, and
consequently leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and
change. The second topic is "The Ideals and Illusions of Your
Age Group", that describes the dreams, fantasies, and spiritual
aspirations of your age group. The third and last topic is "What
is New and Different in Your Age Group", which describes areas
in which your age group tends to be innovative, inventive,
unusual, and also where it may be unstable and unreliable.

The characteristics described below may affect a group of
people for anywhere from a few years to about 30 years. There
are one or more different astrological factors described in each
of the three sections below.

The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group

You are part of a 30 year group of people who are highly
motivated by practical concerns. There is a very strong
psychological need to feel that there is a firm foundation and a
solid basis for one's life. There is an irresistible urge to
make sure that the basics are taken care of and everything is
built on a solid foundation. Consequently, your generation works
hard to improve the economy, ensure adequate food supplies,
maintain and build roads and buildings, increase productivity,
and develop other facilities that are essential foundations for
a healthy, thriving economy.

There is a strong tendency to measure the value of something
by its utilitarian value. For example, in education and research
the emphasis is on ideas of practical value and there is little
support for more purely theoretical research.

Your generation is pragmatic and productive, and is driven
by a need to build and DO things. This concern with practical
affairs often becomes unbalanced, and a rampant materialism with
little regard for humanitarian, ethical, and spiritual values
often develops in your age group.

There is also a strong sensual craving in your age group,
and a great deal of emphasis is placed on physically comfortable
surroundings and good food. Romance is particularly important to
your age group, and a great emphasis is also placed on the
physical attractiveness of the opposite sex.

A small minority of members of your age group are likely to
be uncomfortable with the practical and materialistic atmosphere
of the times, and consequently become alienated and antagonistic
towards the social norm.

The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group

You are part of a 14 year group of people that are very
practical and down-to-earth in their religious philosophy and
spiritual outlook. Your age group incorporates its ideals and
visions into everyday life, and invests more time and energy
than other generations do in beautification projects, developing
parks and recreation areas, and preserving beautiful or unique
natural wildlife areas. Building construction is also done with
careful attention to the aesthetic quality, and your generation
finds it difficult to understand how other age groups can erect
buildings with so little aesthetic appeal.

Your age group does not speculate a great deal about
spiritual and metaphysical matters. You are more involved in
utilizing your imagination and intuition in practical, artistic
ways rather than exploring metaphysical issues. Some of the art
and music of your generation is among the world's most
beautiful.

You were also born during a period that lasted approximately
5 years and is characterized by an unusually high degree of
imagination, intuition, and sensitivity. You are part of a group
of people who are very inspired. Your age group is rather
zealous and enthusiastically rallies behind new visions and
ideals for society. You succeed in bringing a breath of fresh
air into the arts and religions, and you inspire new ideals and
goals for nations as well. You are part of a creative group that
can do much to inspire a fresh vision and renewed hope for
others.

What is New and Different in Your Age Group

You are part of a 7 year group of people who employ their
skills and creativity to bring about a great deal of practical
reform in education, medical care, and other social services.
Your innovations are not radical or unusual, but they are
usually effective.

Your generation also has a curious mixture of both
conservative, ethical people, and rebellious, disruptive people.
There seems to be little middle ground for your age group, and
you swing to one extreme or the other. The conservative people
strive to reinstate strict moral standards, want to swiftly
punish criminal behavior, and strive to highlight the importance
of old-fashioned values in our lives, laws, and overall life
style. On the other hand, the rebellious people of your
generation are angry at the established way of doing things and
act in a defiant, crude, and coarse manner.
