The interpretation of your astrology chart begins on the
following page.
You will find that the interpretation of your chart is
written in simple language, uncluttered by astrological jargon.
If a statement appears to contradict another statement, then you
exhibit these opposite qualities at different times in your
life. For example, a statement that you are highly sociable and
gregarious and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly
contradict each other; this means that you vacillate, and need
both sociability and solitude at different times.
The astrological factor that the interpretation is based on
is also given. The astrological factor is given for the benefit
of astrologers and students of astrology. If you are not a
student of astrology, then obviously the factor will not be
meaningful to you, and you can ignore it.
If you find this interpretation of your birth chart
interesting and informative, you might want to discuss your
birth chart with a professional astrologer to learn more about
the astrological influences on your life.
Your birth chart interpretation is based on the positions of
the planets at the time of your birth. For the benefit of
students of astrology, these positions, along with other
technical information, are listed below:

Section 1: General Characteristics
Your fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards
life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each
person has their own unique balance of these four basic
energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth
(practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and
intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and
feelings).
Your "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that
most people are "unbalanced" or lopsided, and if you are lacking
or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means
that you need to consciously develop that aspect of yourself to
learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that dimension of
life.
Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are least endowed
with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we
neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be
reiterated and explained in more detail in the following
chapters.
You possess a measure of all the elements and are thus less
likely than others to overemphasize or completely neglect one
dimension of experience for another. You are capable of both
thinking and feeling, envisioning possibilities and dealing
effectively with the here-and-now and so on. This does not mean
that you do not have definite preferences and attitudes (these
will be covered in the following chapters), nor even that you do
not overdo or go overboard in your own particular way. But you
are a more varied and complex person, less one-sided than many
other people are, and you are able to draw on all of the
elemental qualities when appropriate. In addition, you are able
to relate to most people, recognizing a bit of yourself in their
ways and values.

Section 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others
The following is a description of your basic stance towards
life, the way others see you, the way you come across, the face
you show to the world. In Chapter 3 you will read about the "The
Inner You: Your Real Motivation", which describes the kind of
person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read
this chapter and the next one and compare them - there may be
significant differences between them, in which case "the inner
you" may not shine through and others are in for some surprises
when they get to know you at a more than superficial level. This
chapter describes the costume you wear, your role in life, while
Chapter 3 talks about the real person inside the costume.
You are a natural diplomat, reasonable, tolerant, fair,
always willing to listen to varying viewpoints, and ready to see
the other side of an issue. Even if you strongly disagree with
someone, you will try to find points of similarity and agreement
rather than emphasizing the differences. You often avoid taking
an extreme or one-sided stance on anything. You have a strong
desire for harmonious and pleasant relationships, and express a
spirit of cooperation, compromise, friendship, and fairness. You
very much want to be liked and because of your need for approval
and acceptance, you are easily influenced by others' opinions,
especially when young. You so much want to please that often you
will suppress your own intense or unpleasant feelings in order
not to offend others. Sometimes your politeness is interpreted
as being phony or wishy-washy.
Your need to create harmony extends to your physical
environment and personal appearance as well. You appreciate
beauty and have a natural sense of balance, symmetry, and
proportion. You do everything in good taste, with a sense of
style and art. From your home furnishings to your choice of
clothing, everything must be aesthetically appealing, not simply
functional or utilitarian.
You also feel that relationships are an art, one that
especially interests you and one that you are usually quite
skilled at, for you possess tact and acute awareness of other
people. Marriage is very significant to you and finding the
right person to share your life with is extremely important.
Being part of a close couple seems natural to you - you are not
an independent loner. Having a partner increases your
self-confidence. You do have a tendency, however, to become
overly dependent on your partner and perhaps not to develop a
clearly defined identity outside of the relationship. Finding
the balance between being yourself and blending and uniting with
another is a challenge for you.
Others see you as an agreeable, smooth, harmonious, and
"nice" person. Though there may be much more to you, this is the
sort of face you show to the world. You possess personal charm
and an understated, noncombative manner. Your motto could be
"you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" for you
usually take a friendly, cooperative approach rather than a
strong, forceful, I'm-going-to-conquer-the-world attitude.
You seem like a loner or isolationist at times, and it may
be difficult to get to know you or form a close friendship with
you. To others, you may appear standoffish, as if you judge them
from afar.
You can get by in life almost by personality alone. There
is a radiant, warm, attractive quality about you that others
can't help responding to favorably. Usually you appear confident
and clear about who you are, and it's very difficult not to
notice you or feel your influence when you are around.
You are a born leader and want to be in power and control of
your environment. Far-sighted and prudent, you have the ability
to organize projects, and personal advancement and public
success is likely to be yours.

Section 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation
Although you appear quite pleasant, agreeable, and ready to
compromise for the sake of harmony (as described in the previous
chapter), you also have a strong need to shine and express your
own opinions. You have the potential to be a great leader,
manager, coach, or teacher.
Proud and intensely individual, you really want to stand
out, to be the very best you can be, and to be recognized and
appreciated for your unique contributions. Doing something well
and being respected for it is extremely important to you, and
you cannot tolerate being in the background, taking orders from
others, or being "just one of the team". You must put your
personal stamp on whatever you do, and direct your own course in
life. You need to have a place where you can shine, express
yourself creatively, and be the one in charge.
You have big dreams and the determination, spirit, vitality,
and enthusiasm to bring them into being. You also have a noble,
romantic heart, and a love of the dramatic, colorful, and
extravagant.
For you it is true that "all the world's a stage" and you
secretly (or perhaps not so secretly) desire to be the Star or
Hero in the play. You want to be great, and to receive the love
and applause of an adoring audience, even if the "audience" is
just one other special person. You need someone to believe in
you and your dreams. Though you appear radiantly self-confident
and independent, you are actually very much dependent on the
affirmation, love, and recognition of others. You cannot bear
being unnoticed or unappreciated.
You also love wholeheartedly and generously and really know
how to make the person you love feel special. You love the magic
of "being in love" and know how to keep the romance alive in
your relationships. You are also immensely loyal and will defend
your loved ones and stand by them to the end - as long as they
never offend your pride or betray your trust. However, you like
to be the strong one in a relationship and you really do not
share the leading role very easily. Ideally you need to find a
person who is as strong-willed as yourself, but who will not try
to dominate or compete with you.
Your strengths are your zest and love for life, your
creative power, and your warm and generous heart. Your primary
fault is your tendency to be very egocentric, so concerned with
the impression you are making and with your own creative
self-expression that you forget there is another, larger world
that does not revolve around you.
Your career, reputation, and public image are very
important to you. You have a strong desire to be influential or
make your mark on the world. The merely personal sphere does not
satisfy you; your ambitions include making a major contribution
and receiving broad recognition for your unique effort and
gifts. You may undervalue the personal or inner side of life.

Section 4: Mental Interests and Abilities
You are an exacting perfectionist with a clear, logical,
analytical mind and an aptitude for work that requires
meticulous attention to detail and efficient organization.
Well-grounded and pragmatic, you tend to develop specialized
skills and technical expertise in some practical field.
Knowledge, ideas, and theories don't really interest you unless
they are useful in a tangible way. You are inclined to analyze,
measure, and dissect everything and to miss nuances, subtle
shades of feeling and meaning. Your strengths are in your
precise thinking, careful craftsmanship, and mastery of
technical skills. You tend to be very good at what you do and
critical of others' work if it does not meet your high
standards.
You have a good understanding of group trends, politics,
mass movements, and community affairs. Sharing ideas with groups
of people is something you do well and are likely to be involved
with. You collaborate well in group efforts and are likely to be
part of a successful team or large organization.
You have a very restless and curious mind, and an endless
thirst for knowledge, information, learning, or at the very
least, mental stimulation. Intellectually, you like to cover a
lot of ground, to see the big picture and grasp the overall
concepts. You naturally seek to discover how all of the small
pieces fit together in some grand pattern, and what it all
means. Details, technical precision, and the practical
working-out of your theories or insights are not really your
concern. Your "broad brush strokes" approach can be a bit
sloppy.
The study of Universal Law, religion, philosophy, or other
fields which are primarily abstract and conceptual appeal to
you. Broadcasting, publishing, communicating to large groups of
people, and teaching are all very suitable for you. When you
have enthusiasm for an idea it is very hard for you keep it to
yourself. There is a bit of the evangelist in you.
An independent and original thinker, you are excited by new
ideas, discoveries, and innovations. Your mind functions in an
intuitive, nonlinear fashion, and sudden insights and ideas
often come to you "out of the blue". You grasp ideas very
quickly and often become impatient with those who are slower or
more cautious than yourself. You are considered rather eccentric
and unusual in your interests by more conservative minds. You do
well in an open, unpredictable atmosphere where flexibility and
quick responses are needed. You have an aptitude for science,
mathematics, electronics, or astrology.
You are open and receptive to subjects which defy rational
explanation, such as psychic phenomena, mental telepathy,
metaphysics, etc., and you could teach these subjects to others.
Your mind is imaginative and inspired and you have an aptitude
for art and creative writing.
You are adaptable and very social and love to entertain.
Because of your charm and outgoing personality, you draw others
to you. You have an innate nurturing instinct and love to take
care of others. But you also know what appeals to the public and
could be a good salesman.
You come across as an intellectual and your thinking more or
less is connected with words. You have a feeling for languages
and could do well as a writer or in a position involving more
than one language. You also may enjoy giving lectures.

Section 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance
You respond very much to the emotional tone and atmosphere
around you, and can be dominated by your fluctuating and
unpredictable moods. You often appear irrational to others
because you cannot always explain the reason or source of your
feelings. Anyone who lives with you must accept your ups and
downs and appreciate your need for times of withdrawal.
You are also very sympathetic and understand the unspoken
feelings and needs of others. You take slights and rebuffs very
personally and though you may forgive a transgression by a
friend or loved one, you never forget it.
You work well with the public and have an instinct for what
the public wants and will respond to. Having a "nest" is not
especially important to you, and you may invest more of your
emotional energy into your career or public life than in your
private life. Providing for and caring for others in a
professional capacity is very likely.
You have very deep feelings and profound attachments to
people you care about. Your relationship to your mother,
sisters, daughters, and other females in your life is apt to be
incredibly close and intense. You may be easily manipulated too,
when it comes to one of these important relationships, because
you're so emotionally invested in it.
You possess the gifts of tact, courtesy, consideration, and
a strong desire to please and understand your love partner.
Because you value harmony so much, you will compromise a great
deal to avoid any discord or conflict. You do not like to dwell
on controversial or emotionally difficult subjects, and often
try to "smooth things over" or "sweep them under the rug".
In love, you want an intellectual peer, an equal, and a
friend. You are attracted to people who have a certain finesse,
delicacy, and subtlety. You appreciate good manners and
refinement and are not happy with a coarse, blunt type of
person.
You often hide your affection, or find your feelings
difficult to express or get across to the person you love. Being
openly affectionate and trusting often doesn't seem safe to you.
You may feel your love won't be appreciated or reciprocated. You
may get involved in secret love affairs or fall in love with a
person who is quite unavailable to you. Love and sacrifice often
seem to go hand in hand for you - having to give something up to
be with the one you love, or having to relinquish some person or
some aspect of an important love relationship.

Section 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals
Once you set your mind on a goal, your dedication,
determination, and commitment to it are extraordinary. You
pursue your ambitions tenaciously and will stubbornly refuse to
give up, let go, or be influenced in any way. Like Aesop's
tortoise, you labor patiently and steadfastly until you achieve
what you want -or until it is clear beyond a shadow of a doubt
that all is lost. You are a reliable, consistent, and productive
worker, and often shoulder more of the workload than your
co-workers, usually without complaint. The nitty-gritty work
often falls to you. You prefer a regular routine, with definite
hours and clearly defined responsibilities and tasks. In fact,
establishing a pattern or routine is very important to your
success because once you get started in a certain direction, is
easy for you to follow it through to its completion. Getting
started is more difficult. You have a lazy, comfort-loving side
and there is often a good deal of inertia for you to overcome
before you get going. Once you get a momentum going, your energy
level is strong and steady.
You are interested in concrete results and solid, practical
achievement. You need to have some tangible product or
contribution to show for your efforts, and cannot be content
with only intangible rewards (such as having a good time,
learning, or spiritual enrichment). Material well-being and
security is also a large factor in determining what you do. Your
stamina and persistence is your great strength but it can also
work against you; you can get caught in a rut and refuse to
seize new opportunities. You also tend to play it safe, and to
limit yourself in that way.
You are attracted to feisty, dynamic, strong-willed people,
and you seem to need a lot of fireworks in your personal
relationships. You can be very combative, or get involved with
people who are. Ideally you will join with people who are
energetic and ambitious, but not too domineering or aggressive.
You have a rather cocky, confident, we-can-do-it attitude
which people in your environment pick up on quite readily.
Inspiring, motivating, and encouraging others to go out and do
their very best is one of your innate gifts. You have faith in
the power of action and boldness, and enjoy imitating new
programs and projects.
Your competitive drive and big ambitions (commented upon
earlier) are fueled upon by either strong spiritual idealism, or
a rather inflated, grandiose idea of what you can actually
accomplish. Your energy level is apt to fluctuate from being
very strong, as noted earlier, to rather low, as mentioned in
the following paragraphs.
You have a very active and fertile imagination and your
ambitions are never strictly mundane, practical, and concrete.
You have a strong desire to act out your fantasies, dreams,
visions, and ideals. Artistic creation, drama, or other areas in
which you can express yourself imaginatively are excellent for
you. Ordinary life seems drab and uninteresting to you, and you
need to have some big dream or something larger than your own
narrow personal interests to live for. Sometimes you may be
confused about exactly how and where to direct your energy and
often drift along rather than making clear decisions about what
you want. You have a passive side and at times lack the will
power, physical energy, strength, and the fighting spirit to
achieve your aims.
Exercising self-control could be quite difficult for you and
you may often become involved in quarrels. Some of these
disputes could end in violent behavior, if you are not careful.
Being with others seems to put you in a constant state of
excitement.
You are apt to receive much publicity and popularity
through your professional pursuits, for you have a way of
winning the hearts and trust of many people. You have an
instinct for what the masses of people will respond to
emotionally, and this feeling-sense of what other people want
enables you to succeed in sales, promotion, and so on. Your
career could also involve protecting and caring for people,
nurturing, "mothering" others in some capacity.
You are likely to be quite sensual and have a strong desire
to become one in soul and body with the object of your
affection. You may have a strong feeling that by yourself you
are not quite complete and that you need someone else to make
you whole.
Your disposition could seem a bit strange to others and you
have a tendency to lose yourself in illusions. You have a very
dreamy nature and are inclined to fantasize about erotic and
sexual situations.

Section 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy
Your ability to empathize and identify with others makes
you unwilling to take advantage of or hurt anyone. You care
about the underdog. You may also be unusually impressionable or
have highly developed psychic sensitivity.
You are fun-loving and playful, and you throw yourself into
your play with joyous abandon! Whatever your love or enthusiasm
of the moment is, you go all out for it. You enjoy sports,
recreation, or gambling, and you can be somewhat hedonistic or
addicted to having a good time. Your children or your creative
pursuits give you much happiness and fulfillment.
You have a great, wide-open sense of possibilities which
allows extraordinary, even miraculous events to come into your
life. A sense of divine grace, of being part of the flow of the
universe, of communing with celestial realms or Beings, are all
very natural to you. At the same time, you're not apt to go to
extremes or lose your sense of perspective. You are also quite
altruistic and giving, and ready to aid less fortunate people. A
sense of gratitude and spiritual wealth is one of your finest
attributes.

Section 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You
You have difficulty asserting your will and desires
directly and openly. You also may suppress your anger and
aggressiveness. Developing self-confidence, courage, and faith
in yourself are important tasks for you.
You take both your work and your health very seriously, but
you may demand so much of yourself at work that you compromise
your health. You can become a workaholic, not so much because
you have lofty ambitions, but because you never feel like you've
done enough. You are overly responsible or overly conscientious
at work, so much so that you may not enjoy it at all.
You can also get overly involved in self-improvement or
your health, and you tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which you
instinctively and habitually revert to when under stress - a
mostly unconscious process and one which you are apt to overdo
because it is so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction
you need to follow in order to develop balance, greater
awareness, and wholeness is also described.
You have a great capacity for sympathy, tenderness, and
caring, which is a gift that you are apt to overdo at times. For
balance, you need to develop mature self-discipline,
self-control, and personal responsibility.
When under stress, you have a strong instinct to retreat
back into the nest, to be a child again, or to become
overwhelmed with feelings and longings to be taken care of.
Also, you may encourage others to depend upon you emotionally
(and otherwise) to an unhealthy degree. You need to learn how to
set limits and to turn off the flow of support when necessary.
The arena you are most likely to wrestle with these issues
is in trying to strike a balance between your inner, personal
life, and your career or involvement with the world at large.
Focusing attention on your home, family situations, and creating
a secure inner base is the direction you need to follow.
The specific habits which are likely to hold you back, or
which you are prone to overdo, especially during stressful
periods, include:
Your desire to belong, deep attachments to family and for the
familiar (even if these are not nourishing or helpful), the
desire to "mother" or be mothered by others, and a strong
resistance to cutting the umbilical cord which ties you to past
events and experiences
You have a sympathetic understanding of other people and the
ability to easily adapt yourself to them. Your emotional
fulfillment is likely to come through your contact with others
and you probably will feel a soul-affinity with many of them.
You have an extremely magnetic personality along with strong
sexual attraction. You tend to put your heart and soul into your
work and may prefer to work with partners of the opposite sex.
You have an inclination to gossip and spread stories or
could be the subject of gossip yourself at times. Your
perception of partnership and family tends to be somewhat
unrealistic, and you may put up a good front and pretend to have
a harmonious life.

Section 9: Originality and Imagination
Areas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive
You have unusual, even eccentric friends, and you are
likely to join groups, communities, organizations, or clubs
which promote progressive or unconventional ideas, social
change, or innovation in some form. You are dynamic and creative
in business affairs and in organizations.
You often have very naive, idealistic, or overly romantic
attitudes toward people, and it's difficult for you to see
others realistically. You may prefer to keep your relationships
on an idealistic or platonic level, so that you don't have to
deal with the more prosaic, earthy, human aspects of relating.
Thoroughly investigate potential marriage or business
partners, as your gullibility and desire to see only the best in
people may blind you to the truth about others with whom you
form a close alliance.
You are a person of great depth and have a deep interest in
the hidden or darker side of life. Issues and experiences others
shun, you are drawn to and compelled to examine. The use and
misuse of personal, social, and political power intrigues you.
Death is also an area you are fascinated with and may explore in
depth. You may have many experiences in which you are forced to
burn your bridges and start over again.
Quite rebellious, you have a strong need for freedom and
don't bend to someone else's will very easily. You want to brake
away from restriction at all cost, but may be held back by
obligations to older members of your family.
Easily influenced by others, you could suddenly find
yourself deceived by them, leading to sudden separations from
some of your associations or relationships. This could also
apply to a partner of a joint enterprise.
You like to be the center of attraction and know how to put
on a good show. You have a tendency to want to force admiration
and love and may consider affection as some kind of instrument
for power.

Section 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group
In this chapter we will discuss characteristics and traits
of your generation. Of course, you may not share all of the
characteristics of your generation, but you are greatly affected
by the tone that is set by your generation.
The first topic is "The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of
Your Age Group". In this section we will describe a deeply felt
urge, even compulsion, of your age group. This deeply felt drive
comes to the surface with great force and power, and
consequently leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and
change. The second topic is "The Ideals and Illusions of Your
Age Group", that describes the dreams, fantasies, and spiritual
aspirations of your age group. The third and last topic is "What
is New and Different in Your Age Group", which describes areas
in which your age group tends to be innovative, inventive,
unusual, and also where it may be unstable and unreliable.
The characteristics described below may affect a group of
people for anywhere from a few years to about 30 years. There
are one or more different astrological factors described in each
of the three sections below.
The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group
You are part of a 30 year group of people who are highly
motivated by practical concerns. There is a very strong
psychological need to feel that there is a firm foundation and a
solid basis for one's life. There is an irresistible urge to
make sure that the basics are taken care of and everything is
built on a solid foundation. Consequently, your generation works
hard to improve the economy, ensure adequate food supplies,
maintain and build roads and buildings, increase productivity,
and develop other facilities that are essential foundations for
a healthy, thriving economy.
There is a strong tendency to measure the value of something
by its utilitarian value. For example, in education and research
the emphasis is on ideas of practical value and there is little
support for more purely theoretical research.
Your generation is pragmatic and productive, and is driven
by a need to build and DO things. This concern with practical
affairs often becomes unbalanced, and a rampant materialism with
little regard for humanitarian, ethical, and spiritual values
often develops in your age group.
There is also a strong sensual craving in your age group,
and a great deal of emphasis is placed on physically comfortable
surroundings and good food. Romance is particularly important to
your age group, and a great emphasis is also placed on the
physical attractiveness of the opposite sex.
A small minority of members of your age group are likely to
be uncomfortable with the practical and materialistic atmosphere
of the times, and consequently become alienated and antagonistic
towards the social norm.
The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group
You are part of a 14 year group of people that are very
practical and down-to-earth in their religious philosophy and
spiritual outlook. Your age group incorporates its ideals and
visions into everyday life, and invests more time and energy
than other generations do in beautification projects, developing
parks and recreation areas, and preserving beautiful or unique
natural wildlife areas. Building construction is also done with
careful attention to the aesthetic quality, and your generation
finds it difficult to understand how other age groups can erect
buildings with so little aesthetic appeal.
Your age group does not speculate a great deal about
spiritual and metaphysical matters. You are more involved in
utilizing your imagination and intuition in practical, artistic
ways rather than exploring metaphysical issues. Some of the art
and music of your generation is among the world's most
beautiful.
What is New and Different in Your Age Group
You are part of a 7 year group of people who employ their
skills and creativity to bring about a great deal of practical
reform in education, medical care, and other social services.
Your innovations are not radical or unusual, but they are
usually effective.
Your generation also has a curious mixture of both
conservative, ethical people, and rebellious, disruptive people.
There seems to be little middle ground for your age group, and
you swing to one extreme or the other. The conservative people
strive to reinstate strict moral standards, want to swiftly
punish criminal behavior, and strive to highlight the importance
of old-fashioned values in our lives, laws, and overall life
style. On the other hand, the rebellious people of your
generation are angry at the established way of doing things and
act in a defiant, crude, and coarse manner.
